It is no news that most critics and filmmakers are impressed with the remake of A Star Is Born which features Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. The movie which was released in October (a few weeks ago), is still getting Oscar buzz.
But some fans of pop culture have been waiting to hear what the 1976 movie star, Barbra Streisand thinks about the remake.
Whether you accept it or not Barbra has not yet seen the full version of the movie. At the same time, she loves what she has seen so far.
Barbra told the New York Times. “I haven’t seen it completed. Bradley [Cooper] did show me the opening. I was surprised by how similar it was to my version. I loved how he used the drag bar. I thought that was new and interesting, what I’ve seen of the film I really liked.”
In the original film, Barbra featured with Kris Kristofferson and Gary Busey. She got an Oscar for the Best Original Song of the Oscars in 1977.
Before the remake got to the cinemas, Barbra told us that Lady Gaga had asked for advice. Fortunately for her, she received words of wisdom that would be invaluable.
“I told her to do it live, and she wanted to do it live, so that’s good because that’s the best way to do it,” Barbra told E! News’ Zuri Hall. “But their songs are different…it’s a good movie, it’s gonna be a hit.”
Barbara further added – “It starts like my old movie, with the concert and he goes to a club and finds her. But they were able to put some new things in it which I liked.”
The remake of A Star is born, has hit the cinemas and its showing in almost all cinemas.
